From "The New York Post" (a Fox sister company) of Sunday, March 24, 2002 in an article headlined "Party Central" (64 point type) and subheaded "Hollywood, schmollywood-
We've got some serious
soiress here in our town (20 point type)
with a four by six inch picture of a smiling Julia with her right hand propped under her chin. The accompanying test reads "Julia Stiles. Ready to hit the town." That's it. Period. The rest of the full page article is about Academy Award parties with no further mention of Julia. Oh, well, what is a poor party girl to do?

The second item is from "The Daily News" gossip column "The 411," a guest column by what appears to be four staffers.

The item is headlined "No minor occasion." It says, "Julia Stiles celebrated her 21st birthday at Cent'Anni on (50) Carmine Street (in Soho), her favorite (Italian) restaurant. Joining Stiles and her family were acress Gaby Hoffman, plus pals from high school and Columbia University, where she appears to be busy shattering the dumb-blonde mold."

I checked out the restaurant's web site. Not bad. Table cloths. Cloth napkins. Antipasto. Pasta (Penne, rigatoni, capellini, etc. and WINE! They have a virtual tour, for those interested. And a phone number for reservations. Or whatever.

From USA Today, Thursday, April 4, 2002 page 3D. Remakes: "ABC has a TV comedy based on feature film "Legally Blonde," and Fox is eyeing a pilot based on "Save the Last Dance" and a sequel to "The Witches of Eastwick."

The New York papers are getting a little goofy in their celebrity coverage. They have given out the exact address of the CUSTOM garage Jerry Seinfeld is building for his car collection, about three blocks from his Central Park West pad and a story entitled "Giambi's at home here" saying he lives on Third Avenue but saying the exact location of his new condo is being withheld although all the local stores they recommend to him are on East 79th Street.

Next they're going to ask "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?" which is not far from Columbia.

I just saw that the other day, I was SO disgusted. Except of course it is very obvious that that is not Julia, she is not built like that and no where near as tanned.

About her clothing, clothing today is becoming skimpier and skimpier revealing more and more. On the other hand, burkas make women look like insects.

"The script is so hysterical, I was laughing aloud reading it," says Julia Stiles, who plays Becky, the possible wedding spoiler. There is an interesting kind of smooching pose headshot on page 40, in day 6 of the calendar with her in her Mets top. On page 99, bottom right, there is a picture from "A Guy Thing" and on page 120 the picture that introduces her section is a sort of ballet pose I think I've seen on the board somewhere. Typical stuff we mostly already knew, but still fun to hear from our favorite actress now and again. Especially when it relates to a new movie we can see her in! Read you later!
