Cast - Julia Stiles , Sean Patrick Thomas , Marcello Robinson
Filmed - Lemont, Illinois, A flower shop on Main St. a local house and Lemont High School.
Storyline - Courtesy of Rebecca aka KitKat.
"From what I've heard the storyline is something like this. Julia's mom died, and she owned the flower shop. So, that's where the shop comes in. Julia then over the course of the movie falls in love with a black guy with a semi-criminal past. The movie ends with a prom scene at the end. That's as much as I know, and that may not be completely accurate. I also don't know what will end up in the final cut either, but I hope that helps give somewhat of an idea of the plot."

the business of strangers

Writer - Patrick Stettner
Director - Patrick Stettner
Producer - Susan Stover
Cast - Stockard Channing, Julia Stiles
Filming Locations - Tea Neck, NJ and New York, NY
Script - Chosen as one of 12 official selections at Sundance '99.
Shoot Length - 24 days May 10-June 4
Rehearsals - May 2-May 10-
Plot - The following was given to Julia-Stiles.com directly from Julia Stiles herself--

"The Business of Strangers takes places in one night, mostly in an airport hotel, any industrial city, USA. Stockard Channing's character (Julie) is a super driven business woman who has just been promoted to CEO and simultaneously fired me (the character's name is Paula) for being late to the pitch. (I am a new Tech assistant/intern). Our flights are canceled and we are stuck in this isolated airport hotel. The night ensues when she tries to apologize and I challenge her authority," Julia said.

"This is a really long story, sorry, but essentially we start to hang out, and I tell her that another person from the company who is flirting with her raped my friend in college. We decide to get revenge on him..." Julia said. "And the movie really BEGINS there. This is like page forty. Things get out of hand... etc, etc. Basically I fuck with her head a lot, it's a really fun, manipulative part."

"I have five fake tatoos, and black streaks in my hair. but I don't think I look or act like the sterotypical bad girl," Julia added. Release Date - Unknown -- NY/LA
